Common questions
We service most domestic and import makes and models. A small number of European vehicles need dealer-only software for certain jobs. Call with your year, make, and model and we will tell you before you drive over.
Walk-ins are welcome and we will get to you as soon as a bay opens. Calling ahead is the better bet during the fall and spring tire rush.
In most cases yes. Customer-supplied parts are not covered under our parts warranty, though the labour warranty still applies.
Most diagnostics take one to two hours. Intermittent electrical faults can take longer, and we will check in with you before going past the time you approved.
Debit, Visa, Mastercard, and cash. Call the shop at 289-389-5656 if you need to arrange something else.
What we fit
Most common sizes are in stock or available quickly through our local distributor.
Balanced grip and tread life for drivers who park indoors and avoid the worst of January.
Softer compound that stays flexible below 7°C, which is exactly where all-seasons start to give up.
Winter rated but usable through summer. A solid option if you have nowhere to store a second set.
For enthusiast cars where dry grip and steering response come first.
Tire services
Every install is torqued to spec. If something is not safely repairable, we will tell you rather than patch it and send you off.
Balanced on install and torqued to manufacturer spec.
Book ahead in October and April to skip the rush.
Repaired from the inside where it is safe to do so.
Every 8,000 to 10,000 km to even out tread wear.
Reading a sidewall
Your size is on the tire sidewall and on the sticker inside the driver door. Example: 225/45R18 95H.
| 225 | Tread width in millimetres |
| 45 | Sidewall height as a percent of width |
| R | Radial construction |
| 18 | Rim diameter in inches |
| 95 | Load index, how much weight it carries |
| H | Speed rating |
Not sure what you have? Text a photo of the sidewall to 905-531-9568 or read us the door sticker over the phone and we will quote it.
Tire questions
Once daytime temperatures sit consistently below 7°C, which in Hamilton is usually late October or early November. Book before the first snowfall, because that week is the busiest of the year for every shop in the city.
Yes. Two winter tires on one axle creates a serious handling imbalance under braking and cornering. We install winter tires in sets of four only.
Punctures in the tread area under roughly 6mm are usually repairable. Sidewall damage, shoulder punctures, and tires that were driven on while flat are not safely repairable and need replacing.
Every 8,000 to 10,000 kilometres, or at every oil change. It is the cheapest thing you can do to get more life out of a set of tires.
Yes. Most sizes come in quickly through our local distributor. Call the shop at 289-389-5656 with your size and we will check availability and price.
